Description
Job Purpose:
Acquisition
and management of relationships for the Commercial Bank with the
objective of revenue growth and good credit quality in line with the
strategy of Citi Commercial Bank.
Job Background/Context:
Citi
Commercial Bank caters to Emerging Corporates and Mid Corporates
segments. Relationship Manager is responsible for new client origination
and managing an existing base of clients. Relationship Manager needs to
be proficient in the product suite offered, credit analysis and working
knowledge of Lending products, Trade, FX, and Cash Management.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and acquire new clients meeting the criterion for Citi Commercial Banking.

Have a strong knowledge base of various banking products including Cash Management, trade services, Foreign exchange, and credit.

Ability to independently identify opportunity with clients and to clearly articulate possible solutions
-
Prepare credit proposal for new to bank relationships and discuss with Business/Risk seniors on the case in terms of client’s financial ratios, business model etc.

Manage existing base of client relationships and timely submission of annual review cases to Risk/Credit Analysis Unit

Primary point of contact with customer for all service escalations

Handle documents related to client’s on-boarding with the Commercial Bank and keep the client abreast of the status

Act as back-up for other RMs as and when needed by the business

X-sell by partnering with product partners – Cash, Trade and Treasury products

Provide active feedback on emerging product needs of customers, competitive practices, and ideas on process/product improvement

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
-
5-10 years of Commercial/Corporate banking experience with at least 3 years of frontline sales experience.

Intermediate knowledge of trade, lending, FX and other cash products, with an ability to identify opportunities and provide solutions
